For studios practice and classes, with your unique style
Custom / Performance
We offer two types of custom orders.
1. Creating from scratch:
Brining your vision into reality, usually involved with few rounds of conversation discussing your vision, inspiration pictures, ideas, fabrics, and other details.
This option usually takes longer time and it is recommended to contact 4-18 weeks before due date.
Because of the extensive labor and time, this option tends to be on a higher price range, but we can always work around your budge with different options to bring your creation to live.
2. Modification:
This tend to be a more popular option, as the styles available will be display on our page under style catalog, our available fabric will be display on our page under fabric catalog, and modifications option would be available under modification page.
All you need to do is simply to add them together in your cart and check out.
Fabric Book
Studio Owners
Crafty Miu provides a fabric book for you to keep in the studio as a reference to materials we provided for group performances, bulk orders, and color series dancewear for instructors and students.
The fabric book provides sample fabrics offered by Crafty Miu for dancers to be able to physically touch and feel the fabric and demonstrate how the color and materials will look in reality without distortion, helping to make an educated purchase decision according to what they have in mind.

How it works
Styles:
Each item in our shop includes a style code in the description.
You can also find our available styles through our style catalog page.
Fabrics:
Each fabric listed in the fabric book includes a name of the fabric.
You can also find our available fabric through our fabric catalog page.
Modifications:
Example of modification includes:
adding a sleeve
adding straps
adding mesh
taking away straps
adding matching garter etc.

To Order:
Add the selected style in your cart
Add the selected fabric in your cart
Add any adjustment you would like in your cart.
For Multiple Modification in the same order:
To prevent misunderstanding, before you add your selection of fabric options and modification options to your cart, please include the style code or style name you wish to use the fabric and apply the modification to under the "custom section".
For Local Dancers:
Fill out a physical copy of the custom request card available at the studio.
They will be pick up every Monday (excluding holidays).
Feel free to take a picture and send it through Instagram chat at crafty.miu if you wish to protect your privacy.
How to measure
For local dancers:
If you dance at Two Sparrow Aerial in Fredericksburg, we can schedule a time (approx.10-15 minutes) before/after class, and I will measure you.
For other dancers:
You will need a measuring tape, the style you select will include measurement needed in the description, you will enter those measurement under "custom" section before you add them to your cart.

How much time
Modifications are usually way quicker than creating from scratch.
Allow 4-8 weeks prior to the date of the event (or more during competition seasons), as there are lots of different factors that can contribute to lead times, and turnaround time for costumes from gathering inspiration, finalizing details, production, and shipping to performance.
Create from Scratch
How it works
prepare a few inspirational images to represent what you have in mind
prepare any adjustments (for example: adding a sleeve, taking away straps, adding a garter, etc)
select color and fabric type (fabric books are only provided at local studios; contact me to request one)
contact me and we will have a conversation to solidify the details of the costume that you have in mind
I will collect measurements from you
When the costume(s) is(are) finished, I will ship it to you :)
How it works
prepare a few inspirational images to represent what you have in mind
have a general idea of what theme, vibe, and/or music genre you are going for
we will schedule a time to brainstorm ideas together
after finalizing the details I will collect measurements from you
When the costume(s) is(are) finished, I will ship it to you :)
